With technology running just about every part of our lives, it would make sense that even your dentist would use it, right? Here at our office, we have embraced all sorts of dental technologies to not only make us better dentists but to also make sure that you and all of the rest of our patients get the best treatment possible. But what dental technologies do we use? Let’s take a closer look and see.
One of our most used technologies is our digital x-rays. Rather than having to wait for x-rays to print out and get developed, digital x-rays are great because they:
- Use far less radiation
- Give us higher quality images
- Allow us to transfer x-rays to other dentists
- Are environmentally friendly
3D CBCT Scan
This 3D scanning system allows us to get a closer look at what’s causing specific dental issues. Benefits of this imaging include:
- Minimal Radiation
- Short scan time
This small video camera that is only the size of a large pen, give us real-time images and insight into what’ going on exactly in your mouth. Specifically, intraoral cameras allow our patients to see what we’re seeing such as gum disease or a cracked tooth.
CEREC 3D System
With this system, we can reduce our patient’s appointments for porcelain crowns, veneers, and dental bridges. With a combination of 3D software, we can create a mold right here in our office which cuts out one of the appointments.
